Unfortunately, many people have become slaves to their business and freedom feels like an impossibility.

We started our businesses because we were passionate, and we wanted to share that with the world.

Little did we know that it would rob us of our freedom, and we would work twice as much for the same pay.

I know this all too well as that was my first 5 years in business.

I felt like I was suffocating and there was no way out.

I had panic attacks, lost friendships, and felt like each day was a battle to stay afloat.

So, what changed?

There were 3 major changes that took place:

1. I asked for help

I was so stuck in my business that I couldn’t see the forest through the trees.

I lacked clarity, direction, and insight.

I needed someone to release me from my pit and show me the big picture.

Once this occurred, I saw the world through a new light, and it all began to make sense again.

2. I pivoted my business model

My business model was largely commoditized, and the points of differentiation were unclear.

I shifted my business model, so the value proposition was unique and scalable.

This meant I wasn’t competing with everyone else; I could charge significantly more, and it was no longer dependent on me.

3. I focused on people and systems

My need for control was killing my business and life.

I had to relinquish that and start building a team to walk with me.

To do so, I needed to build bulletproof systems, so the service and product were delivered at a world-class level.

I committed to learning management and leadership skills that I clearly lacked.

I invested in my team, cared for them, and made a commitment to help them in any way I could.

If your business is not giving you the life you want right now, then I implore you to learn from my experiences and identify where you need to change.

I help people build profit, grow membership bases, expand, or open new locations but what excites me most is when they have more time for their partners, and kids, to travel and get back to living life.
